The Square offers seminar courses on books dealing with fundamental questions about human experience. We are a community invested in spreading learning beyond borders - both physical and financial - and our courses are available free of cost to everyone. Enrollment is limited to eight candidates per course, and all sessions are conducted online.
Employing new mediums, The Square seeks to be an alternative that brings joy back to learning. Moving from academia battered by a stressful and over-bureaucratised institutional climate, our endeavour is to restore a sense of freedom and intellectual experimentation to higher education.
We start with familiar texts, but our offerings will soon include a diverse repertoire of perspectives. Our texts, however, will always go beyond specific periods and cultures, and address questions that bring to light the deeper ideas that impinge on our everyday.
